Silent Diesel Generators for East African Beach Clubs
We've just completed the PDI checks 44 kVA silent diesel generator sets. They are ready for collection before shipment to an island off the East African coast. Each unit will run as prime power for a beach club, where low noise matters as much as steady power and where limited access makes service planning important.
Two 44 kVA silent diesel generators, built around Baudouin engines and Meccalte alternators, are ready for shipment to an East African island. They will provide prime power for beach clubs. Each set delivers 35.2 kW at a 0.8 power factor. DSE 7320 controllers add remote monitoring for off-site checks. Extended acoustic canopies keep sound low near guests, and a full set of consumable spares supports operation where service access is limited.
Both sets use Baudouin engines in a silent generator package, paired with Meccalte alternators. We use this setup often in this power range because parts are easy to source and the service network is strong across the globe
At 44 kVA and a standard 0.8 power factor, each set delivers 35.2 kW of usable prime power. That is enough for the lighting, refrigeration, and kitchen loads typical of a beach club without oversizing the plant.
Control is handled by DSE 7320 controllers on both units.
The 7320 gives full mains-failure and stand-alone control, plus remote monitoring. That is useful on an island site, where a technician cannot always reach the plant quickly for checks or fault diagnosis.
Both sets sit in extended acoustic canopies with thicker insulation than a standard enclosure.
Beach clubs run close to guests, often with little or no buffer between the plant room and the areas where people relax. In that setting, sound control matters as much as fuel use or output.
The larger canopy also leaves room for exhaust silencing and ventilation ducting while keeping the acoustic seal intact.
Because these units will run as prime power and for an extended period, we are shipping the consumable spare parts with the generators: filters, belts, and other service items sized to the expected running hours before the next service interval.
On an island installation, having those parts on site from day one removes a logistics dependency that would otherwise sit on the critical path for keeping the plant running.
Two silent generators, correctly sized, controlled, and provisioned for the site: that is the brief we work to on every prime power installation, whether it is three large industrial units or two compact sets for a beach club.
