Commissioning day is the moment of truth for any power system. It is also the stage where most problems are either caught and corrected, or missed and left to surface at the worst possible time.
Commissioning is not a formality. It is a rigorous engineering process that verifies every aspect of the installed system under real operating conditions. Done properly, it confirms that the generator starts reliably, the ATS transfers correctly, the protection systems respond as designed, and the complete system performs to specification under full load.
Done poorly, it is a signature on a form and a handover certificate that means nothing when the system fails six months later.

The commissioning record is the baseline against which all future maintenance is measured. It confirms what the system was designed to do and verifies that it does it. Without a proper commissioning record, maintenance becomes guesswork and fault diagnosis becomes significantly more difficult.
