Where It Started
EA Power Systems was established with a clear view of what was wrong with the generator industry. Too many suppliers were tied to single manufacturers, pushing products rather than solving problems. Too many installations were specified on rough estimates rather than proper engineering. Too many clients were left with systems that underperformed, overcosted, or failed at the critical moment.
The founders of EA Power Systems believed there was a better way. Independence from manufacturers. Engineering-led design. Honest advice. Long-term accountability. These were not marketing positions. They were the principles the business was built on.
What Independence Has Always Meant
From the beginning, EA Power Systems made a deliberate choice not to become a tied dealer for any single manufacturer. This decision costs us some commercial advantages that tied dealers enjoy. It gives our clients something more valuable: the certainty that every recommendation we make is based on what their site needs, not on what we are contracted to sell.
Over two decades, that independence has allowed us to specify Perkins where Perkins is right, Cummins where Cummins is right, Volvo where Volvo is right, and Doosan or Baudouin where those are the correct choices. Our clients get the right solution. Every time.
What Integrity Looks Like in Practice
Integrity in the generator industry means telling a client their existing generator is correctly sized when it is, even if a replacement sale would be more profitable. It means recommending a smaller unit when a smaller unit is right, even when a larger one would generate more margin. It means being honest about lead times, about limitations, and about the rare occasions when a project falls outside our capability.
EA Power Systems has built its reputation on this kind of honesty. It is not always the easiest commercial position. It is the right one.
